Report shows many personal care products for women may not be safe.
It might be disconcerting to learn that you are not using safe makeup. When you are applying your lipstick or lip gloss you may be putting toxic metals into you body. Research into safe makeup started in 2007, but it appears that a high level of toxic metals continue to be present in personal care products for women.
Speaking as a mother, I would like safe makeup for myself, but more importantly for my daughter. Do you have a daughter? Does she love to play dress up and put lipstick on? Wouldn’t you like her to be able to play without ingesting toxic metals? The concern about toxic metals in lipsticks and lip glosses applies to pregnant women as well. Everything that is ingested during pregnancy has an effect on the developing baby. Most pregnant women do their best to avoid known harmful ingredients in their diets, but there is also the added concern of applying lipstick or lip gloss.
